A converted wooden klotok for the Katingan River and Sebangau National Park. Four ensuite cabins carry up to eight guests to peat-swamp forest that still holds one of the largest wild orangutan populations in Borneo.
Spirit of Kalimantan is a converted klotok with four air-conditioned ensuite cabins below deck. The superior cabin runs the full width of the boat aft of the stairs. Above, a screened saloon, steamer chairs on the covered deck and a roof for unimpeded river views. Six crew, including a cook and English-speaking guides, run the ship.

Life onboard
Sebangau is one of the last peat-swamp forests in Borneo, home to more than 6,000 orangutans. Canoes enter the Punggualas Canal. Villages along the Katingan teach cooking from the forest and river. Longer sailings add a night canoe and a dawn bird watch. Routes move with water levels.
