A 30-metre (98 ft) ironwood phinisi run like a villa on the water, with five ensuite cabins all above deck. Take the whole ship, or join a cabin charter if you do not need all ten berths.
Held for private groups through Komodo and Raja Ampat. Cabin charters run on published dates.
Rascal was launched in 2015 from a Sulawesi yard as a 30-metre (98 ft) ironwood phinisi with a simple brief: no guest cabin below the waterline. Five ensuite suites sit on the main and upper decks, with real windows and high ceilings. One upper cabin opens onto its own aft terrace, the closest thing on board to a private veranda.
Ten is the published maximum. Eight is the week that still feels like a house. Eleven crew run helm, galley, dive deck and a bar that works as well at noon as it does after the islands go dark. There is a table inside, a table outside, and a roof deck for the long view when you do not want a programme.
She is built for people who want the days to move: snorkel and dive, a beach supper on the sand, kayaks off the stern, and enough teak to disappear between activities. Komodo in the dry months, Raja Ampat when the wind shifts north-west. Book her as a private charter, or take a cabin on a shared departure when you would rather not fill the ship.
Vhana is a full-service travel agency and part of Virtuoso Consortia, and we are happy to customize your holiday. Send us your dates or approximate dates and the number of people. We then work directly with the boats for the best price guarantee. You are not looking at a public calendar.
If your preferred nights are already taken, we will provide alternative options for your review, including a cabin on a published Rascal sailing if that fits.
We are happy to quote pre- and post-cruise stays, airfare, and travel or dive insurance around the same voyage.
Private charter is the whole yacht on your dates. Cabin charter is a berth on a published sailing, priced per cabin per night. Indonesian VAT at 11% sits outside. The figure on each sailing is the one that matters.
Live cabin availability for upcoming shared voyages. Reconfirmed before booking.

Yes. She was built for seven-night loops through Komodo and Raja Ampat, not day trips. Five ensuite cabins all sit above the waterline, and a crew of eleven keep ten guests from living on top of one another.
Active by design. Tenders, kayaks and dive kit leave when the water is right. The roof deck and aft terrace are there for the hours in between. If you want a slower week, we can set that. It is not the default rhythm.
Ten across five ensuite cabins. Eight is the more generous number if you want a cabin left as a dressing room, nanny space or quiet office.
Yes. Private charter is the quieter week if your group can fill the cabins, from $12,000/night. Cabin charters run on published dates from $2,000 per cabin per night. Two guests in one cabin pay that cabin rate, not twice.
Families and groups of friends who want an active week, snorkel, dive, beach landings, without a rigid programme. She is a poor match if you want a dark timber schooner or a steel explorer. Those groups are not how we sell her.
Tell us dates, headcount and how you want the days to feel. If she is the wrong length, mood or price, we send the next honest match.
