Augustine was built in ironwood and teak in Tanahberu and launched in 2020. She is
31.72 metres (104 ft) on the water, 5.96 metres on the beam, 105 GT. Four ensuite
cabins. Fifteen is the published overnight maximum. Eight crew, including a cruise
director, run the house. She works Komodo from Labuan Bajo, March to December, and a Labuan
Bajo to Sumbawa run in April to July when you want whale sharks in the mix.
The night rate is written for ten guests. Five more can come aboard at an extra
per-person night. Cabin 1 sits on the main deck: a double, two slide-away twins, a
balcony. Cabins 2, 3 and 4 sit on the upper deck. Cabin 2 is twins plus one extra,
with the long windows. Cabin 3 is twins plus two extras and a balcony. Cabin 4 is a
double plus two extras and a balcony. All four have air-conditioning, ensuite and
hot water.
The jacuzzi sits on deck. Indoor dining is air-conditioned. Two outdoor lounges take
sun and shade. Kayaks, paddleboards, a floating trampoline and snorkel kit come with
the week. Crib, high chair and children's lifejackets sit onboard if you ask. A
nanny is extra.
She is a private charter. Three nights is the usual Komodo minimum. Eight nights if

What kind of ship is Augustine?

Who is she for?

the published maximum. She is a poor match for a dive-only week that wants a
compressor as standard.
How do the cabins sleep?
Cabin 1, main deck: a double plus two slide-away twins and a balcony. Cabin 2,
upper deck: two twins plus one extra, long windows, no balcony. Cabin 3: two
twins plus two extras and a balcony. Cabin 4: a double plus two extras and a
balcony. All ensuite, all air-conditioned.
Where does she usually cruise?
Komodo National Park from Labuan Bajo, March to December. Three nights is the
usual minimum. Labuan Bajo to Sumbawa is offered April to July, eight nights
minimum, when whale sharks are the point of the week.
Can we book a cabin instead of the whole boat?
A few 3-day, 2-night Komodo weeks open as cabin nights. That is not the usual
product and those dates are not on our cabin calendar. Ask if that is what you
want. Private charter is still the honest first ask.
What sits outside the night rate?
The published night is for ten guests. Extra guests are billed per person per
night, up to five more. A nanny is extra. Park fees, alcohol and crew tips sit
outside the rate. Snorkel kit, kayaks, paddleboards and the trampoline come
with the week.
