A 60-metre (197 ft) steel explorer for thirty, launched in 1968 as a British naval ship and
rebuilt in 2019. Take the whole yacht, or join a cabin on a published sailing if you do not need every berth.
Aqua Blu began as a British naval explorer in 1968, later a private yacht, then a 2019
rebuild by Cor D. Rover into a five-deck expedition ship that lives in Eastern Indonesia.
Sixty metres (197 ft) of steel, zero-speed stabilisers, and a range that will take a
group from Komodo to Raja Ampat without treating the crossing as an ordeal.
Thirty guests sleep in fifteen ensuite cabins, Category I through III. Two pairs can
connect for a family: 301 with 302, and 401 with 402. Thirty crew run helm, galley, dive
deck, spa and the twice-daily landings. The sun deck holds the long view. A jacuzzi and
workout zone sit on the bridge deck. The forecastle has a sky lounge bar, a small library
and a television room. Meals go inside on the main deck, or outside when the evening is kind.
She is built for people who want the days to move: snorkel and dive, a hike when the island
allows it, kayaks off the stern, then shade and a plate that uses the spice route rather

Can Aqua Blu handle a long private charter in Indonesia?
Yes. She was rebuilt for seven- to twelve-night loops, not day trips. Tankage,
cabin spread and a crew of thirty are sized so thirty guests can stay aboard
through a Komodo circuit, a Spice Islands crossing, or a Raja Ampat season
without living on top of one another.
What kind of week does the ship actually run?
Expedition by design. Tenders leave twice a day when the water and the island
allow it. The spa and sun deck are there for the hours in between. If you want
a slower week with fewer landings, we can set that.
How many guests can sleep on Aqua Blu?
Thirty across fifteen ensuite cabins. Families can take connecting pairs 301 and
302, or 401 and 402. Twenty-four is the more generous number if you want a cabin
left as a dressing room, nanny space or quiet office.
Can I book a cabin instead of the whole ship?
Yes. Private charter is the quieter week if your group can fill the
cabins, from $54,000/night. Cabin charters run on published dates from $11,200
per person for a 7-night sailing. Two guests in one cabin each pay the published person rate.
