Adastra came out of McConaghy's Zhuhai yard in 2012 as a 42.5-metre (139 ft) carbon
and Kevlar trimaran. John Shuttleworth drew the hull. Jepsen Designs did the
interiors. She is 16.2 metres (53 ft) across, draws 1.12 metres (3 ft 8 in), and
cruises at 17 knots with a 4,000-nautical-mile range. Nine guests is the published
maximum. Five crew. Private charter only.
Three ensuite cabins: a full-beam master with a king, a VIP double, and a twin with
staggered bunks. Six is the week that still feels like a house. Nine is what the
indexes print when extra berths are used.
The salon is a wrap of glass. Dining is inside or on the aft deck. A 4.8-metre
tender, kayak, paddleboards and snorkel kit live on the working deck. She is a Komodo
and Raja Ampat boat when the programme is in Indonesia, and she will take Thailand or
Malaysia weeks when the nights allow. Private charter is the only booking.
